Infection in children
Hi doctor, wanted to know that how often can children get affected by bacteria or virus from patients. Actually my daughter is 4 months old and my cousin aged 25yrs just had gone through a operation related to head (acaustic neuroma), after operation he is been staying in our home only. I am bit cautions that it wont be causing any problem to my 4 months old baby. Please suggest

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Acoustic neuroma is not contagious nor is there a chance of getting infection if the surgical wound is clean and uninfected.  I don't think there is any problem here. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
