Increased WBC count
I recently had severe cold and cough and doctor advised me to do a Haemogram blood test. The report has an increased WBC count of 13100. Pls advice me what should I do? Thanks.

Hello it may be due to infection kindly consult a good physician and under his guidance take prescribed antibiotics and after course of antibiotics repeat the haemogram and see for urself the good results bye

Hello There. I can understand your concern. WBC in some labs when in range of 4000-14000 is considered normal. but if in your lab reference range its high, then it could be due to some infection or inflammation. need not worry just take the treatment prescribed by your doctor and it will come down by itself. nothing else needed. best regards, Dr. Anil kumar jain.
