Immunity of a baby with formula feeds
Hello doctor, Is it true that formula fed babies have lesser immunity than breast fed babies? Will replacing a breast feed with formula feed (hygeinic conditions maintained)  affect a baby's immunity ? Thank you!

Yes, 100%, there are lot of factors in breast milk which improve immunity of a child. Most of these factors cannot be created artificially. So formula fed babies will be less immune than breastfed babies. Eg: lactoferrin, bile salt stimulated lipase, PABA, bifidus factor, poly amines, immunoglobulins etc.. especially the first coming milk called colostrum is rich in immunoglobulins.
