Imbalance and Chakkar like feeling

My father in law 76 years old he's complaining of imbalance (chakkar) and he's been taking stugil and stemetil medicine.
We got his MRI done all other tests done too but everything is normal
What might be the reason he's feeling like that as if he's going to fall or may be needs support while walking or doing daily activities.
We lost my mother in law 2 years back and since then he's not keeping well also his sleep is disturbed
