Is there any discharge associated? Itching can be seen in various causes like candidiasis, trichomniasis, bacterial vaginosis, senile vaginal atrophy (common in elderly age group) So a lot depends on the characteristics of itching wrt discharge, pain, swelling, dryness etc treatment would vary because these infections are fungal, bacterial, protozoan in origin and thus a single drug is never going to cover all possible diagnosis
Next Steps
thorough clinical evaluation to arrive at the diagnosis. specific treatment thereafter
