Hello Friend, thanks for reaching out here for help. Any relationship will flourish only when there is a trust and fair communication. In your case this could be the problem. Continue the relationship only when there are commitments and trust . Else you will face this problem through out the period of relationships if you plan to take long term and will be spending time only to doing justification. Discuss openly and decide the next steps. If you need guidance take a counseling support locally or fix online sessions
