Recenly visit ENT...Doc said, u will be alright,he check up me and told me that everything is ok but LPR...there is nothing wrong...but through internet i khew that,LPR is throat cancer related issue...i have throat irritation though doc give me medicine and i jst start...but honestly want to know
1)is cancer is very near to me???
2)how much time i have??

Take a second opinion from another ENT specialist prefer you consult someone Senior in experience so that you can get a honest second opinion. It is always better to obtain a honest second opinion from a more experienced Senior ENT Surgeon if you are not getting relief from your symptoms. Throat cancer can be prevented in early stages. There are precancerous conditions in the throat if identified early the patient need not suffer from throat cancer.. especially in throat prevention is better than cure. So please obtain a second opinion from a Senior ENT specialist ASAP.

LPRD means laryngopharyngeal reflux disorder and it is a type of acidity related disorder of throat. It is different from GERD which is gastro esophageal reflux disorder. LPRD has no relation to cancer where as GERD can lead to oesophagus cancer in few individuals. So you are safe and you have no chances of any cancer
