Hello, sorry to hear about your problems. I understand it's tough to deal with pain as you are a new mom still breastfeeding. A few tailored advice for you: 1) If acupuncture has helped you before you can go for that again that can reduce pain without any medication. 2) As you are breastfeeding paracetamol is the safest drug to take for pain. Ibuprofen (Tab brufen) is another safe drug to take during breastfeeding. Other options include diclofenac (Tab voveran) if paracetamol/Ibuprofen doesn't work. 3) 3rd and the best option would be spine mobility exercises. Since you are postpartum and your body is still healing start from easy mobility exercises and increase gradually. Following are the few exercises you can do: A) Pelvic Tilts: Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Gently tilt your pelvis up (pressing your lower back into the floor) and hold for 5 seconds, then release. Repeat 10 times. B) Child's Pose: Kneel on the floor, sit back on your heels, and stretch your arms forward while lowering your chest toward the ground. Hold for 20-30 seconds, breathing deeply. C) Cat-Cow Stretch (on All Fours): Start on hands and knees. Inhale and arch your back down (cow pose), then exhale and round your back up (cat pose). Move slowly through 5-10 cycles. D) Walking: A simple daily walk (start with 10-15 minutes) with good posture can help. For better demonstration of these exercises you can go to youtube to see videos of these exercises.
Next Steps
If you are currently having acute pain don't exercise straightaway. Take painkiller and absolute rest for 5 days. when the acute pain subsides than only start your exercises. Good luck. Let me know how you feel. You can consult me in practo.
