I could possibly have a tampon far in me

Today when I got home from a day out I can’t remember if I changed my tampon or took out the old one in general then my boyfriend came over and things got a bit heated but since I’m on my period nothing happened, I’m still scared he could’ve possibly pushed it back a little further if I did have one in but I checked and I didn’t feel anything, not even a string so I don’t know what to do.
