First of all, I suggest you get your lab tests done at an NABL accredited laboratory which Thyrocare is not! Secondly, for these hormone studies to be accurate, you must submit your blood sample after 12 hours fasting. So, ideally, you take an early supper and then in the morning you give your blood sample on an empty stomach. You also need to undergo a Thyroid antibodies profile to rule out Hashimoto's Autoimmune Thyroiditis and also a Thyroid Ultrasonographic study to evaluate the anatomy of the thyroid.
