Hyperglycaemia after steroid doses
My father was on steroids for a long time(21days) as prescribed by the doctor for covid pneumonia. I have been monitoring his glucose levels regularly. It's been 2days since he stopped taking steroids(tapering slowly) ,his sugar levels in fasting was 130 and post 2hrs after meal was 311. He was diabetic already he is consuming his regular medicines. But still post meals his glucose levels seems elevated. He is consuming Azulix 3MF forte and Remo 100.

He is already on maximum amount of oral medicines for sugars. If still sugar not controlled may need to start insulin or other tablet. After food sugar is predominantly dependent on high carb diet. So maintain ideal diabetic diet if not controlled consult with reports.
