Diagnosed vaginal melanoma two yrs back,metastasis in lumber 4,no other secondaries noted,suddenly became unconscious, MRI revealed obstructive hydrocephalus, PV shunt implemented on 1st June, CSF us protienacious and viscous, after a week C.T.revealed communicative hydrocephalus, patient is still unconscious

If shunt is working (can be confirmed by a brain scan), then the brain damage due to the hydrocephalus was severe and may take time to recover and if very severe may not recover.
