I am 23 yrs old and i have hurpis Zoster. Is there any vaccine for this disease. And can i take this vaccine in this age or any age restriction for vaccine.

Hi there.. chicken pot and herpes zoster are caused due to infection with herpes zoster virus.. if infection first time it causes chicken pox(usually childhood)then that virus remains dormant/Silent in nerve.. it gets reactivated again when body's immune function reduces or old age or stress.. that reactivation causes herpes zoster..treatment includes antivirals and steroids.. vaccination can be taken only if your not infected.. once infected there is no point taking vaccine.. please consult physician soon..
