HSV IgG +ve but IgM -ve?
I got an STD profile done a couple of days ago. It included an HSV 1+2 IgM, Serum (CLIA) and an HSV 1+2 IgG, Serum (CLIA) test. I got a 0.50 result on the IgM test and a 30.00 result on the IgG test. I've never had any outbreaks. I used to have oral lesions inside the mouth (many years ago as a teen) that used to go away on having Vitamin B12 capsules as prescribed by my then doctor. What does this result mean for me?

Hello. Compared to IgM, herpes IgG antibodies develop more slowly. This means that the detected infection is several months old. You have had infection in your recent past and not a fresh one.
Next Steps
You need to take medicine.
Health Tips
Avoid sex with multiple partners and keep yourself clean.
