How to treat yeast infection in the vigina
Hi. I am 17-years old, a female and I’ve developed a yeast infection in my vagina. It causes irritation, untimely urination and often a white discharge as well. Besides, it leaves an unpleasant smell and I fear that it can affect my periods as well. Can someone tell me what is the best yeast infection treatment?

Ideally you should meet a gynecologist so that you can be examined and confirm the diagnosis. You would require an antifungal tablet and an antinfungal ointment to be applied over the area. The following steps may help: Measures that can be used to prevent the condition are: - Do not wear tight clothing. - Change undergarments regularly - Wear breathable fabrics such as cotton to decrease the sweating. - Keep areas where there is sweat accumulation dry regularly and apply powder in those areas to reduce the moisture. If the problem is persistent I would advise you to meet a gynecologist.
