How to identify type of diabetes
For my wife ,in Jun 2017 we checked her BSL in lab for fasting and BP and both results were normal. Yesday we again checked the reports as Fasting BSL - 172 , Urine - No sugar detected , After 2 hours of lunch - 173 Urine - No Sugar detected and HbA1c comes as 9.1%. before 8 months there was no sugar detected in the reports . Need your advice for this. Fasting seems to be big value how fasting is more impacted than PP ? This is Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes? She was having gestational diabetes before

It is most likely to be type 2 diabetes. Its very common in young age in those who have had gestational diabetes in the past. Fasting sugar can be elevated more than pp in some individuals. The medicines and diet are advised accordingly.
