Hello i had unprotected anal sex with a person 10 days back..i am not confirmed about his hiv status..what should i do now..if i go to take hiv test after 10 days will it show accurate results..or what steps should i take now..please tell me

Hello, Do not worry. Incubation period for hiv is 4 weeks and window period is 90 days. You should get tested within one month and then next after 3 months. Both the test results if negative , signify that you don’t have hiv I will need more history about you and your partner Kindly consult with me so that I can walk you through the process

Test should be done after 3 wks, and if negative , repeat after 3 months, if both negative then no hiv
