Hiv cmv eye problem
After 8 years of exposure . i had a negative tridot and a negative western blot. However when my symptoms started this month my vision became blurry. Im already myopic. But this time when i blink when im seeing a light, i see extensions of that light. When i squeeze my eyes to see a clear image, i see double images. My eyes are a little achy now. Im scared it might be cmv tho i have two negative hiv tests. Should i go for PCR HIV VIRAL RNA TEST? are therr other conditions which can cause the same symptoms im experiencing. ? Can it be because of hiv or aids?

Do you have any other systemic symptoms or only visual problems. Your visual problems could be due to n number of causes, so no need to jump to any conclusion. I suggest you get an eye examination, and proceed accordingly. These symptoms are not specific for retinitis
