His legs are little bent
My son is 2 years old and his legs below knee are little bent towards outside. We checked with one ortho and he suggested for calcium for 6 weeks. Please suggest if it is all normal and he will be alright.

Hi there.. I can understand your worry.. genu valgum, commonly called knock knee, is a condition in which the knees angle in and leg seems to be bent outwards..mild genu valgum is seen in children from ages 2 to 5, and is often corrected naturally as they grow..but if it s due to rickets(vitamin d deficiency in children)then deformity continues as he grows to become more worse..start your child on vitamin d supplements along with calcium.. it's going to be fine as he grows.. if not then consult orthopedician for further treatment..
