Hemorrhagic stroke recovery
Hi Doctor, my dad is 73 years old and had a mild hemorrhagic stroke 2 weeks ago because he stopped taking hypertension medicine. He was admitted to the hospital right away and the bleeding was about 3 ml. No surgery performed. CT scan and MRI showed that blood was completely absorbed and no other blockage or bleeding was found in the brain. My dad was released from the hospital yesterday and his only complication is dizziness when walking, standing and sitting. He's able to walk now with external assistance to prevent him from falling. He speaks good, eats well, and goes to the bathroom regularly. He's on meds to control his blood pressure, which is stabilized. My question is whether it's safe for him to fly international flight 2 weeks later? Will plane taking off or landing be a risk factor for another stroke?? Thanks so much for your help!

Stroke risk is there of course but can travel...it's not that traveling increases risk...only care that needs to be taken is that don't skip medication and in long hour flights there are chances of DVR that can lead to stroke too....keep pumping calf muscles to prevent DVT
