Hemoglobin going down
Hi, my wife is pregnant. Month wise month hb going down. 9.9, 9.2 and now 8.4 she completed just 22 weeks. She taking diet very well. Two times iron tablets. Prescribed by doctor. Finally doctor told us to drip iron file attached. My question is why this is happening? What is the avg hb level should maintain? What is the reason? Main ques is this effect our child? Please suggest any fruit or vegetable which will help to increase hb? She's taking spinach already. Please do reply, we need a advice.

Must rule out other causes of anaemia. eg thalassemia, sickle cell anaemia gastrointestinal bld  etc. Iron inj should be given only after ruling out other causes. Also when she should avoid milk and milk products within 2 hrs of iron tablets. U can come and see me or any other gynaecologist dealing with high risk pregnancy.
