Hi, I am Dr. Atul Kumar Nimawat, MS ENT. As you mentioned, you initially had a cold followed by a bout of heavy coughing, which has now subsided. However, you’re currently experiencing a sensation of something being stuck in your throat. This is most likely due to mucosal erosion or irritation in the laryngeal area caused by persistent or forceful coughing. Such irritation can lead to a foreign body sensation in the throat. A definitive diagnosis can be made after performing a laryngoscopic examination.
Next Steps
Please visit the nearest ENT specialist for a complete history and clinical examination.
