My cousin is a thalassemia minor (age - 22 female, low hb around 7 to 8 ). she was bone marrow transplant donor at the age of 14 . though there was no complications in the operation but later on she gained weight. as per the doctors it was not due to bmt donation operation. so the question are: 1. what are the possible reasons of her weight gain? 2. is there any consequences of being a donor? 3.how to boost her immunity system?
