Hand wound not recovering fast.
Hi Doctors, I need ur suggestions. My father (64Age Recovered Covid patient) hand was swelled up after Glucose drip was taken off. Later we went to surgeon for the check up. He did the small incision to take out the pus. But since last 15 days I am going for Dressing and we see lot of Pus comes out daily  from his hand. He also faces unbearable pain. He is diabetic but now a days his sugar levels is between 80-90. We did pus culture test and  report was normal. We did CBC where TLC is 15500 and platelet count is 92k. Earlier doctor has given Pulmocef 600 table + Flexon But after test results he stated AMICIN Inj (1000) along with Merosure O 200mg Tab Can you please guide us if his treatment is going good? He is getting lot of weakness and bad taste due to antibiotics. He doesn't feel like eating anything in good quality. Can you suggest me what the best we can do?  How long Will it take to heal? I am attaching the photo.

Proper antibiotics according to pus culture results, analgesics & regular dressing are the mainstay of treatment. Being a Diabetic is a condition causing his low immunity added to this, his post Covid status adds on further in lowering his immunity. Hence the wound is going to take longer than usual to heal, may be few months.
Next Steps
Don’t skip dressings & medicine. Get sugar levels checked regularly
Health Tips
Give him some immunity boosting Suppliments, suitable for Diabetics.

See as per wound it needs dressing regularly As he is diabetic wound healing will be slow As of now U have encourage him to have food because if he will not have the food Than it will harm his recovery So as off  now if antibiotics are started continue that Wound dressing Control sugar level And if still you are not satisfied with this Show once hand surgeon But I must say u just have to give time. And try and encourage him Ok
