Hand sanitizer (alcohol) in nostrils
Hi. I tend to use hand sanitizer a lot and yesterday something dirty fell on my face. So I ended up using hand sanitizer on my face and inside my nostrils. I shouldn't have done that but ended up doing so. I just wanted to make sure this won't have any adverse effects. I'm getting a slight headache and it feels like the air from the nose is warm. Does the alcohol from the hand sanitizer when inside nostrils dry out and if so, can it cause any after effects? Thanks

Usually hand sanitizers contain alcohol and other antiseptic agents. Accidental entry into the nose usually does not cause any problem as alcohol evaporates very fast from the surface. You can use simple saline to clean your nose
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
