Hair scalp getting some chunks over it.

Hello , This was very shocking for me when once I was touching my hairs and I felt something on my scalp hidden inside the hair .I touched it and it felt like some kind of pimple or something but when I call my brother to take a look and click it's picture ...it comes out to be a chunk of dandruff maybe ..we are actually not sure what is it .. it's still on my scalp and I want to rash it out but before doing so I thought I should get an advice from some knowledgeable doctors . Should I be more concerned regarding it .. how can I remove it and what precautions to take to keep hair healthy . Also I would like to add that in my family hair loss (central baldness) is quite common .and on scalp of my grandpa (he is bald ) we can see some chunks as well ..we don't know what is it . kindly do reply as soon as possible
