Though there has been a link between menopause and hair loss, dermatologists think there is no direct correlation. It could be that menopause and hair loss just occur at the same age. Other reasons for hair loss include extreme stress; physical trauma like surgery or intense illness; dramatic weight loss over a short period of time; and taking too much Vitamin A.
