Had a minor fracture
My dad has a minor fracture on his shoulder 3months back. His pain has subsided, but he keeps insisting that massage helps him. He is obese and always asks for a massage. What I want to know is too much of massage bad for him? Can his body take it if he resorts to analgesics always ? Is massage a permanent cure?

Hello There. I can understand your concern. was it a fracture or a dislocation? we have to examine him to say if there is still any problem with the bone. massage post a fracture is not recommended, but if the massage is done after the fracture is healed, then its not a problem. long term use of analgesics is harmful for the kidneys. kindly consult a orthopedician in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards, Dr. Anil kumar jain.
