Grandma w uterine cancer at 22. Me next?
My paternal grandmother (who is now 65) had a pregnancy at 16 and another at 19-20 yrs old. At 22 she was diagnosed with carcinoma in situ in her uterus and had to get a hysterectomy. I am 18 yrs old (female of course) writing this. Is there a genetic likelihood I will also have uterine cancer, esp. in the near future??? Is it abdnormal for that to happen to a woman in her early 20s? Lastly, how often should I get a Pap smear and how risky is it if I miss one? Any additional info I should know?

Carcinoma in situ means stage 0 of a cancer, need to if it's a cervical cancer or any other.
If it's cervical cancer there may be a genetic risk, other major risk factors are HPV, Smoking,..
Pap test every 3 years after 21 years.
Next Steps
HPV vaccination is very effective in preventing cervical cancer due to HPV
