Grade 1 Prostatomegaly with median lobe
Due to urine infection got urine tests done in May.21. Urine culture was negative.
Urine routine had RBC 4, Pus Cells ,bacteria rod and cocci. After antibiotics bacteria is nil / normal except RBC 4. ( last report 5 days old)
Advised Ultrasound hole abdomen. Antibiotics Niftran 100 given.
Ultrasound report shows
GRADE 1 PROSTATOMEGALY WITH MEDIAN LOBE ENLARGEMENT INDENTING THE URINARY BLADDER BASE.
PVR OF 111CC WAS ALSO FOUND.
Prescribed Silodosin 8 .
Started medicine since last 5 days. Feeling good except still some RBC which as per doctor is due to enlarged prostate and will go soon.
In 2019 prostate size was 46×47×43 wit 48 gms wt.
1. Is this good improvement as compared to 2019 ?
2. Is Silodosin 8 is the correct treatment.
3. Any other suggestion.
