For gonorrhea & chlamydia is pcr qualitative which is unnecessary very costly , but my doctor suggested to go for a basic urine culture & sensitivity test ! So i just wanted to know that can a basic urine. CUlture & sensitivity test show the presence of gonorrhea & chlamydia ( or atleast show or indicate the presence of these both bacterias in urine ? ) or not ? Apart from that does urine culture & sensitivity tests for any type of bacterial infection or it comes with limitations .

Gonorrhoea can be detected on normal cultures infact it's the most specific test for it! But for Chlamydia cell-based cultures are required!(for Chlamydia the best test is nucleic acid amplification test)
