I have been diagnosed with PCOD on sunday and since then i have been asked to take this tablet called glycomet. I take this once in a da.y after lunch. Few questions that i have
1. Does this tablet increase weight? I am already over weight will this increase more weight?
2. I am feeling bloated and not feeling hungry since sunday is this normal?i feel its because if the tablet
3. Does this cause heat in the body as my doctor has asked me to take 3 tender
coconut water and lots of butter milk
4. Any specific foods that i should avoid while i am on this medication
Please help me with the above queries

Metformin causes weight reduction and also helps to increase insulin sensitivity which is hampered in pcos.
As a side effect it can cause flatulence, bloating.
Avoid extra salt in food or packaged foods, and try to eat simple carbohydrates.
