Sir my 3months old daughter has been diagnosed with g6pd.i wanted to know is it a serious issue? And what all things should I avoid? I have heard we must avoid legumes also but since we are Indians so it's little difficult to avoid coz our main foods include pulses.and also I read can't give her biscuits which contains soya lethicin and formula also contains soya..can you pls tell me should I avoid these ? And how do I know if any particular eatable is not suiting her? How should I manage this disorder in daily life.what are the precautions? Which all medicines,foods should be avoided as all the sites have mentioned different different foods.what happens if any child with g6pd eats any oxidant food.is it very harmful or only drugs are more harmful than food if not taken care??.i aam very tensed sir please help me.she is now only on breastfeed but I m very tensed when I will start introducing semi solids to her.can g6pd patients live a normal life

Nothing to worry n get stressed so much.. G6pd is just an enzyme deficiency.. U can get a list of drugs online that should b avoided... Carry on with breastfeeding.. N relax.. Baby will lead a normal life for sure.. Take care
