Unlike cataract surgery where surgery can be planned at a reasonable convenient time...need for glaucoma surgery is usually when the eye pressures are uncontrolled and hence waiting/prolonging a surgery could further damage the optic nerve. Please discuss with your glaucoma specialist about the pressures, optic nerve damage and mutually decide on the appropriate time for the surgery. Remember younger the age, longer is the life expectancy(50-60yrs at 29yrs) hence you have to preserve the vision more deligently.
