GER scan- infants
How is GER scan performed on infants. My baby is 5months with reflux issues. Div has recommended however I am worried if it's gonna be painful. What would be the cost

1. GER scan is done for children with symptoms of Gastro Esophageal Reflux
A small amount of radioactive tracer will be mixed with milk and given. After the child drinks the mixture imaging is done by a scanner
2. The scanner is open and does not make noise
3. You may be permitted to stay with your baby
Usually the time taken is about 1 hour and though it’s sometimes uncomfortable but it’s not painful
