These days too much gas is getting formed in my stomach and stool color is dark or almost black. I don't have pain in part of my abdomen area or any other part of my body. Because of too much gas formation I have puking sensation sometimes before lunch. Please suggest me what could be the reason and whom should I see for this?

Hi as symptoms are suggestive of gastritis.Need to follow some lifestyle changes. Take food timely. Avoid cabbage, capsicum, citrus fruits ( for a while). Don't drink water with food, take after 40 min. as much as needed thereafter. Don't lie down immediately after food. Finish night meal by 8.30 pm maximum. Go to bed after minimum 1 hour after dinner. Always keep stomach 1/4 th empty.Divide meal into 5-6 times a day. Avoid the particular food, which is being observed to cause bloating, fullness, upper abdominal pain/ discomfort, reflux symptoms etc. A good acid blocker is needed to check excess acid production. Some times in intractable cases one need to go ahead with Upper Gastroscopy to rule out gastric ulcer/erosions and presence of H PYLORI infection.Feel free to ask any further quary related to this problem.

If you consume iron supplementation your stools may appear as black but if you aren't i would advise you to go to a gastroenterologist for further evaluation and investigations. Since you're feeling bloated and nauseated you can have anatacids which would give some relief fro the gas formation. The following lifestyle changes may also be of help:
- Don't skip meals, you may not feel like eating but in such conditions you should have the reduced amount in frequent intervals(i.e. 3 square meals broken down to 5 or 6 as you can tolerate) and slowly increase as you get better.
- Reduce/ Avoid spicy, fried, fatty, junk and oily food
- Exercise regularly
- Increase daily intake of water to 3liters
- Avoid/Stop smoking and drinking
- Reduce stress through methods such as yoga/meditation.
- Avoid painkillers as it will increase your gastric problems at this moment.
