Can we take Gardisal 9 as HpV vaccine , if I am 18 years old and whether it is safe to use because my mother had ovarian cancer in the past.

Yes you can take . No contra indication for taking HPV vaccine . Also would recommend Pap smear screening from age 25 . 3 doses are recommended , 0,2 and 6 months . HPV vaccine protect against cervical cancer , and to an extend from some head and neck cancers . It doesn’t have any role to play in ovarian cancer . If your mother had been diagnosed and you have family history of cancer , make sure you discuss your family tree history and rule out any genetic syndromes , if any present you may need other prophylactic treatments . You can consult if you have any significant family history of cancer .
