Ganglion is a swelling in the covering of tendon sheath. Usually, it does not require surgery unless :
- It grows very large
- Is very painful
- For cosmetic purposes
Most ganglia may recede by 3-4 months.
If surgery is done, it is under local/regional anaesthesia. You can start using the hand immediately, however the stitches are taken out on the 10th day.
