Gallstones
I'm 67.. Right after recovery from Covid Pneumonia, I had stomach ache and was diagnosed with multiple gallstones.. I was told to get operated but then my lung x-ray revels Fibrosis.. also I have severe sleep apnea.. I don't have diabetes.. Now the anesthesiologist is saying my surgery would be very high risk and life threatening.. What should I do? Any other solution for gallstones? Will they dissolve with time?

Symptoms of gall stone are pain in upper right quadrant of abdomen, bloating, fullness after meals...if you have had/having these symptoms then you are considered to be having symptomatic cholelithiasis. Stomach ache could be caused due to gastritis, need to rule out that. Asymptomatic cholelithiasis do not require surgery. Only 20%of the patients with asymptomatic cholelithiasis will develop symptoms in 20 years. Surgery can be deferred considering your age and risk factors.
