No abdominal pain, no back pain no digestion issue, kindly suggest next step, do I need to go for surgery. Age 61 yrs.

You need an operation. Stone will not disappear nor there is medical therapy. It can cause serious complications. Elective planned low risk low cost operation gets into emergency high risk high cost operation though chances are less. But no one knows when someone will encounter complication.

For asymptomatic gall stone, surgery is not at all indicated . Because chances of silent gall stone to be converted into symptomatic or chances of any complications during surgery is almost equal
