Although gallstones can remain asymptomatic for life but the greatest danger associated with gallstones is it the gallstones move into the bile duct and block it in such situation you can develop jaundice and will need emergency removal of gallstone considering your young age it is advisable that you undergo surgery when you are fit and healthy.

Gall stones can erode into the bile tubes, can cause inflammation of the gall bladder, can get infected with pus formation, cause jaundice, can cause Life threatening pancreatitis, can block intestines. To prevent these complications which can occur anytime, cholecystectomy surgery is important. Lap procedure is better.
