Fungal nail infection
I am 27 years old female. I am suffering from juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. Both the thumbs of my hand have developed fungal nail infection. The nails of thumbs are growing yellow and brittle and like a mound which cannot be cut by nail clippers. The nail removes automatically after a month or 2 but regrows the same. I have consulted local doctor and he said it happens in JRA due to irregular flow of blood. I am a working woman and work with computers all day. None other finger nails have the problem

It will be due to the rheumatoid arthritis. May not be fungal. You can send photos for confirmation and second opinion.
