Yes idiopathic gustatory sweating is not uncommon specially in males. More often it occurs post spicy and hot food but in some it may occur with all food types. Unfortunately most treatment options available for idiopathic Frey’s are temporary. Topical antiperspirant creams or botulinum toxin injections have been tried but none are permanent solutions. Preferably avoid foods which cause excessive gustatory sweating if possible. Also remember to keep yourself adequately hydrated.
