Greetings. Bruising may occur with trivial trauma in older individuals even if platelet count is normal since superficial blood vessels may be fragile. However, if the platelet count is low, then please see a physician / internal medicine specialist and get this evaluated and diagnosed. Hope this helps, warm regards, Dr Govind Suresh Mittal, Bengaluru
