My foot thumb was hit by the door and suddenly the thumb nail popped up. I immediately applied turmeric to the wound. When something is touching the thumb nail I was feeling like hell lot of pain. I am attaching an image for reference. Please guide me how should I treat this and what care to be taken.

It’s a nail bed injury. You will need a good wash and clean dressing with appropriate ointment. Also it would require a short course of antibiotic so that it doesn’t get infected. Keep it away from getting wet. Give tab. Zerodol-SP twice daily for pain for 2-3 days. For antibiotic and other things you would need a prescription, u can consult me on Practo for the same.
