Fluid buildup in scortom
Sir  my father has from last 3.5  year  have fluid buildup in his  scortom left side it's a sudden buildup of fluid 3.5 years earlier is it any problem I asked my family doctor last year he told nothing to worry it is hydrocele but I want your opinion is anything serious the swallon part is compressible please reply My father age is 55 years

The swelling can be either hernia or hydrocele. Will need to examine it personally to opine over it Both of them can be compressible. If it can be reduced totally then it is hernia...

Hernia is more common than Hydrocele at this age. If the swelling reduces on its own on lying down then it is Hernia. Though treatment for both is surgery, it's important to know the cause of hydrocele (common is trauma).
