Fluctuation in TSH values
My son, who is 15 years old, is very thin and was complaining of tiredness. So we got a test done. The first time TSH was higher at 6.03. 1 week later, the second test result was lower at 2.69. These 2 tests were done at Thyrocare. (2016 June) 1 month later, we got it tested at St.John's and the TSH was 0.773, so the doctor said it was normal. 1 year later (April 2017) in the yearly checkup the TSH again was higher at 6.45. This test was done at Apple a Day. So since we have seen a lot of fluctuation, we wanted to confirm whether my son has hypothyroidism or not.

Hello....  Thyroid test result  should be correlated with symtoms and signs.  These fluctuations are normal..  His TSH is not very high...  Person with hyperthyroidism present with weakness,  tiredness etc...  So I'm that that  case TSH level  should be below normal range.. Consult general physician to look into other causes.
