Normally, Hcg levels in 1st trimester gets nearly double during 1st trimester.. till 10th week , after that level of hcg starts falling But progesterone level rise continue in a slow rate till delivery.. it do not fall. In your case hcg levels getting double in 48 hrs during 1st trimester is normal. But you need to get concern about fall in progesterone levels and consult to your obstetrician.
