Filariasis test conformation
My mother has leg swelling from last 6 years, did all kind of test and reported normal. Our doctor suggested filariasis test so we did the micro filariasis antigen test, the reports are not deleted but the path lab people ask to do slide test. Is it necessary to do slide test after antigen or the results are valid and we can confirm as not deleted. Please guide me as how to confirm the filariasis and proper test for it. Searching for same for long time. Thanks.

Kindly send me Antigen report and the pic of swelling. I can suggest you whether it really is filariasis or something else. Is she on any BP medications?

Hello there. I can understand your concern. I don't know what you meant by reports are not deleted. I'm assuming you means not detected. Yes. It is necessary for the slide test in my opinion. Best regards. Dr. Anil Kumar Jain. Bangalore.
