Fever, headache and chough
Mother is having high fever, headache, cough and throwt infection from 2days. Based on these symtoms please suggest the nature of fever and prescribe medicine too. Thank you

Hi,
As per your symptoms described above it seems like a viral flu (influenza).
Since it's a viral fever, it's usually self limited. But need to be careful in old age and those with some underlying chronic illness.
A detailed history may help in advising you regarding treatment.
General advice would be to take plenty of fluids ORS, steam inhalation to clear airways.
Tab paracetamol 500mg thrice daily.
She may require cough expectorants and antibiotics depends on her clinical conditions.
She should get it investigated too.
